چکیده

In the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM), the minimal extension of the Standard Model (SM), two Higgs doublets are required, resulting in five observable Higgs bosons. Three of them are electrically neutral (h, H , and A) while two of them are charged (H). At tree level their properties like masses, widths and branching fractions can be predicted in terms of only two parameters, typically chosen to be the mass of the CP-odd Higgs boson, mA, and the ratio of the vacuum expectation values of the two Higgs doublets, tanβ. In the MSSM the couplings of the Higgs bosons to fermions and bosons are different from those in the Standard Model resulting in different production cross-sections and decay rates. The coupling of the Higgs bosons to third generation fermions is strongly enhanced for large regions of the parameter space which determines the search strategies for such Higgs bosons. In the following, searches for the neutral and charged Higgs bosons in the MSSM in the two experiments ATLAS and CMS at the LHC are described. Unless indicated otherwise, all results will be given in the m h scenario [1]. A detailed description of the ATLAS and CMS detectors can be found elsewhere [2, 3]

Beyond Standard Model Higgs Boson Physics at the CMS Experiment

Searches for Beyond Standard Model (BSM) Higgs bosons at the CMS experiment are presented. The analyses are based on proton-proton collision data recorded by the CMS experiment at the LHC at CERN at 7 TeV and 8 TeV centre-of-mass energies in the years 2011 and 2012 respectively, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of up to 25 fb−1. No evidence for additional Higgs bosons other than the 12...

Higgs Physics Review of recent results and prospects from ATLAS and CMS

An overview of recent results in Higgs boson physics obtained with the ATLAS and CMS experiments at the Large Hadron Collider located at CERN, Geneva, is presented. The focus is on measurements of the properties of the recently discovered Higgs boson with a mass of about 125 GeV. A brief selection of results in searches for Higgs bosons beyond the Standard Model is given, and prospects of futur...

Suggestions for Benchmark Scenarios for MSSM Higgs Boson Searches at Hadron Colliders∗

The Higgs boson search has shifted from LEP2 to the Tevatron and will subsequently move to the LHC. Due to the different initial states, the Higgs production and decay channels relevant for Higgs boson searches were different at LEP2 to what they are at hadron colliders. We suggest new benchmark scenarios for the MSSM Higgs boson search at hadron colliders that exemplify the phenomenology of di...

LHC Higgs Boson searches

A summary of the Higgs boson searches by the ATLAS and CMS collabrations using 1 f b −1 of LHC data is presented, concentrating on the Standard Model Higgs boson. Both experiments have the sensitivity to exclude at 95% CL a Standard Model Higgs boson in most of the Higgs boson mass region between about 130 GeV and 400 GeV. The observed data allow the exclusion of a Higgs Boson of mass 155 GeV t...

MSSM Higgs Boson Searches at the Tevatron and the LHC: Impact of Different Benchmark Scenarios

The Higgs boson search has shifted from LEP2 to the Tevatron and will subsequently move to the LHC. The current limits from the Tevatron and the prospective sensitivities at the LHC are often interpreted in specific MSSM scenarios. For heavy Higgs boson production and subsequent decay into bb̄ or ττ, the present Tevatron data allow to set limits in the MA–tan β plane for small MA and large tanβ ...
